Healing Harps on Mother's Day - Sunday, May 12, 2013

and experience the healing sounds of the Therapeutic Harp.
Kevin Werre is an Artisan from Medicine Hat who hand crafts these special harps based on the Reverie harp, which are a little different than the Harps that we may be familiar with.
He will be here on Sunday to demonstrate this unique sound therapy instrument. He will be playing and demonstrating how we can all play this harp and how it can facilitate healing through sound.
These harps are played intuitively so that means you don't have to know how to play a specific musical instrument to play this harp. They are designed to be easy to play ,and anyone can make beautiful music. The harp is tuned to a pentatonic scale, so every note complements all the other notes. By just running one's finger across it sounds like a cascading waterfall. And you can feel the vibrations from the music when you hold the instrument to your chest.The harp has the ability to get people to open up emotionally, soothes the soul and creates a place for emotional and spiritual healing.
These Harps are rated "E" for everyone, musician and non-musician alike. They are lightweight, produce beautiful, soothing music and require no skills to play, making it ideal for use in healing environments such as hospitals and hospice care programs.

This is a bio of Theodore and what he does:
Theodore Bromley is well known in the rock and crystal world as The Crystal Man. For 22 years he has been providing Mother Earth's mineral treasures extensively to many businesses and individuals in western Canada and beyond. He is based in Ashton Creek near Enderby BC. He is fortunate to know that he is fulfilling his life path by being in the crystal business.
In 1970 Theodore was introduced to the spirituality of ancient Polynesia, particularly Hawaii. Captivated by the teachings he delved into it. Over many years a method of healing based on these teaching evolved through him. Huna, as these teachings are now called, became and still is his spiritual path of choice. Often he is called upon to facilitate a Huna Healing Circle while he is on the road selling crystals.
Theodore will be at the Carmel Mall on Saturday, April 6th (sponsored by Kokopelli's) During the day he will have for sale an awesome variety of crystals and gemstones: raw, polished and jewellery. He will share his expertise on the spiritual and healing aspects of crystals. In the evening he will facilitate a Huna Healing Circle. Donations will be taken at the door to take care of room rental.
